SVG imports at the wrong size: inspect dimensions and viewBox
SVG size depends on the relationship between its physical dimensions, coordinate system and transforms. Correct the source of the mismatch before applying a blanket scaling factor.
Compare known dimensions in both tools
Measure a reference feature in the source editor and after import. Repeat in another direction to see whether the error is uniform. Check the root width and height, their units, the viewBox and transforms on the geometry. A page size alone does not establish a part’s dimensions if the part has its own scaling transform.
Understand the pixel conversion
CSS defines 1 inch as 96 CSS pixels, so 96 px corresponds to 25.4 mm under that conversion. Some older export workflows used a different pixel convention. A ratio of 96/72 is exactly 4/3; 1.3333 is only a rounded approximation. That pattern can help an investigation, but it does not prove the cause without checking the file and export settings.
Correct the units without duplicating the adjustment
Prefer a fresh export with explicit intended physical dimensions and a matching viewBox. DXF Medic can report an assumed 96-dpi pixel interpretation and offers a units override, but it does not provide a general 72-versus-96-dpi selector. Do not use an unrelated unit override as a substitute for inspecting the SVG. Reopen the result in the receiving program and measure the reference features again before manufacturing.
